Melanie Korner
MA/BCBA
Melanie started to work as a Behavior assistant for Positive Behavior Treatment Inc in 2015 and worked as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in 2018. In 2019 she became a BCaBA and then proceeded to become a BCBA in 2021.
She has a Bachelor in Psychology/Sociology with honors and a special Global Medallion and Citizenship Medallion from FIU in 2016. Melanie graduated from Florida Institute of Technology with a Master in Applied Behavior Analysis, with 4.0 GPA She is the Secretary of the Florida Association of Behavior Analysis Special interest Multicultural group. Her interests are Selective eating, multicultural diversity, and weight loss. She created a selectivity protocol for PBT.
Melanie has been working with children with Autism implementing ABA techniques to address food selectivity, compliance with daily schedule, communication, socialization, and coping skills. She has attended and volunteered at many FABA conferences relating to supervision and mentorship. Her current research is related to the Behavioral management of obesity.
