Children Tying Their Shoes

Adaptive/Daily Living Skills

Independence

Being able to function and perform daily tasks is essential for getting through the day. Here we teach children how to do common activities such as tying their shoes, putting on their clothes, brushing their teeth, and most of the regular routines to take care of their health, hygiene, and prepare them for society.

First we may assess with different tools SIB (Scales of independent behaviors, CALS (Check of Adaptive Living Skills) or ABLLS (Adaptive Behavior Learning). Then, we design a personalized program, and if needed, we use task analysis in which we break tasks into smaller, more manageable components.
